An archaic style jar with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts depicticting a Scholar / Musician with a Servant carrying a Qin (string instrument). This item was made in the late 19th Century for export, possibly during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874) when this style was first introduced. Condition - excellent no damage and no restoration. 13.5cm (5.3inches) high; weight 0.76kg (1lb10oz)

A small jar decorated in early 18th Century Kangxi style with Famille Verte / Wucai enamels depicting a legendary battle scene possibly from from the historical epic novel "San Guo Zhi Yan Yi" (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) attributed to the 14th Century novelist Luo Guanzhong. This item was made for export during the late 19th/early 20th Century, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - very good - no damages and no restoration. 12cm (4.7ins) high.

An Indian Kalamkari mat, probably from Coromandel coast, made of slightly padded and quilted chintz. The cotton ground is block-printed and painted with a central medallion surrounded by meandering exotic flowers and crenelation. Lined with printed cotton, indigo dyed fabric edging. Condition: clean, few very small old mends, little small age stains. Dimension: 121 cm x 83 cm.

Japanese pair of mirror image cloisonne vases with amazing details of phoenixes, dragons, birds, and other mythical animals in jeweled lappets and ruyi-heads and flower bands. Green cloisonne contains gilt-like effects. Mottled purple ground, Base has flower mark, gilt bronze end bands. Wonderful condition.

The edges burn dark brown on this large Bizen vase by Kawabata Fumio enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Green ash clings to the upper surface, peeling away from the superheated corners, the bottom rich dark raw clay. The vase is (‘29 x 21 x 36 cm) tall and in excellent condition.

A large and exceedingly rare work by Kiyomizu Rokubei V (Rokuwa, 1875-1959) enclosed in the original signed wooden box. In relief are scrolling vines and flowers in white and pale blue on a soft porous pink glaze. For a nearly identical work see the collection of the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Modern Art, or the book Kiyomizu Rokuwa (1977) figure 60 (dated 1923). The vessel is 42 cm tall, 28 cm diameter and in fine condition. The box is stained quite dark with age.

A rare finely painted porcelain bottle vase decorated in what is known in America as the "Fitzhugh" pattern. This item was produced, probably for export to the USA, either late in the Qianlong reign (1736-1795) or during the reign of the Jiaqinq emperor (1796-1820). Condition - there is glaze loss and minor chipping to the rim; no further damage and no restoration. 25cm (9.9inches) high.
