An "ogee" shaped porcelain bowl decorated with polychrome 'famille rose' enamels depicting two pheasants amongst flowering peony and pomegranate branches and below a band of alternating lotus flowers and the eight Buddhist emblems, the Bajixiang. The seal mark to the base reads "Zhong Hua Min Guo" (Republic of China), dating it to the period 1911-1949. Pair Chinese Green glazed on pottery Foo dog Joss Stick Holders, Ca. 1920, 5 1/4" high, 1 1/2" wide-bottom, 2 3/4" deep-base, 4 1/4" maximum depth, very nice small size, they usually used in the temples on the Altar. Some of the green glaze pieces are chipped off which is very typical for this type of green glaze on pottery pieces, no major damages. Still retained Export Wax Seal on top of the head.
