Porcelain vase in the shape of a gourd with Imari decor. The vase is mounted on a lathe. It is decorated in the Imari style in blue, red and gold with flowers on a background with stylized geometric cracks in cobalt blue inspired by frost. The base is without glassure. Vintage Japanese wood carving of the face of Bodhidarma with his fly whisk. Also known as Daruma, the legendary intensity of the monk is expressed in his downturned mouth and heavy eye brows over wide eyes. A popular sign of good fortune for any business. Lacquered details in red, white and black.

The incense burner consists of a thick and solid cast bronze cup which rests on a tripod base also in cast bronze. A cut copper cover is held by a hinge fixed by rivets. Islamic work from the middle east. Very nice old patina of the metal. Bronze very earlier than the 18th century. H:21cm. A hole on the lid (see photo) otherwise good condition.

A stand made of a fine piece of heavy, cypress wood emulating a rock. The top with a flat, smooth area on which to place items for contemplation or small ikebana arrangements. H 11 x L 24 cm. Japan or China, most probably from around 1920. Condition: Excellent with a wonderful patina.

Superb 3 paneled weaving from the Zhuang ethnic group in Guangxi Zhuang, Southern China. The body is woven from very fine handmade cotton thread while the weft supplementary embroidery is done with silk floss threads (the small blue indigo medallions are done with cotton). Quite a heavy piece because of all the embroidery. L: 161cm/63in and W: 100cm/39in.circa first half of the 20th century.

Small cast bronze incense burner. Ding (tripod) shape. Beautiful casting and neat finish. The sobriety of the decor and the perfection of the volumes giving this small creation a powerful yet elegant appearance suggest that it is a very old censer, probably from the Song period. An excellent very old patina stained with verdigris in places would be compatible with this earlier period. Height 82mm. Fine condition.

Small deer in cast bronze. The animal is shown lying down. It's a roe,stag or maybe a deer. Very good quality of sculpture. The perfection of the volumes, the search for detail and the neat finish are similar to those that we admire on the Netsuké. Satzuma fine earthenware tea bowl by Nakamura Baikei (1868-1912). Decor of a palace or a temple rising in a snow-covered lake landscape and animated by numerous characters. Small cast bronze incense burner in the shape of a duck. The bird is lying on its folded legs and gracefully twists its neck to groom its plumage. There has never been a lid because the opening on its back is clean without grooves and without any trace of friction or wear. Oversized Japanese woodblock print by Shufu Miyamoto (b. 1950) titled "Water Weeds at Hiroshima." The lower margin is pencil-titled in kanji and English, pencil-signed, and dated '84. It is numbered in pencil 5/150 at the lower left below the artist's red seal. Paper: 17 5/8" x 22 3/4" (image: 15 1/4" x 21 5/8"). Very good overall condition.
