The divinity seated in royal ease, his right hand holding a stick, symbol of his power.
Wearing a tiered conical hair dress, short vertically striated sampot with overlap, jeweled collar, armlets, anklets and pendeloque earrings.
His throne decorated with lotus buds and flower and the figure is seated beneath a nicely decorated arch.
This piece dates back to the 18th Century, About 250-300 years...

Conservatoire Sakura
$700.00 Lost wax cast bronze pipe. Decoration in high relief of clouds or swirls of smoke and lotus petals. The object is massive, thick and heavy. We think it is a Khmer bronze, probably a cult object, but it may be something else altogether. What is certain is that the object is very old and that it is not a copy of the 20th century. The old patina confirms it as being several centuries old.

This has been left out in the sun and rain for the past 15years so the surface has begun to degrade (a good lesson in the Buddhist principle of Anicca ~ the impermanence of all things). The head has been reattached. The base is hollow- the only example I have ever seen with this. H: 27cm/10.6in and W: 11cm/4.2in.
