$5600.00 Very fine bronze Shan State Buddha with an exquisite black-gold patina seated on a stepped throne decorated with knobs. The sculpture displays an elegant smartness and is well proportioned. The Buddha is seated in the Vajrasana position with the right hand in the gesture of touching the earth (bhumisparsa mudra) and the left hand rests in the gesture of meditation (dhyana mudra).
Excellent condition, 18/19th Century. Size: H. 26 cm. x W. 13.5 cm. x D. 8 cm.

$5,500.00 Antique Tibetan gilt bronze Dakini, with traces of silver, inlay of coral and turquoise. In her hands are a raised kappala (or skull cup) filled with the elixir of life, and a curved blade. She is dancing on top of corpses to show her rule over ignorance and ego. Her lotus pedestal is made of gilt copper.
The Dakini are wrathful female deities often shown nude with long, flowing hair and glowering expression...

SOLD Antique Thai figure of seated Buddha Shakyamuni. Made of bronze and seated with his hands folded in meditation (Dhyana mudra). Downcast eyes with lids barely open, a gentle smile on his face, he exudes a sense of calm. With lovely patina and traces of gilt.

The body of the jar is carved with the person's arms in low relief while the rest of the jar maintains an ovoid form. Kulaman Plateau, Cotobatu, Philippines.
