Old (1930's) Japanese Satsuma Lobe Shaped Censer with Geisha & Samurai Marked Nambe

It is 5.1 inches (13 cm) tall by 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide It is 1.7 Lb.

It has chips at the lid's inside rim, rubbing of golds, crazing and glaze crack at the bottom, and surface wears (as seen in the photos).

A collection of 14 piercing tip arrows, forged iron, mounted on steel plates and armature wire. Ya used in war by the samurai had a variety of tips called yajiri or yanone; these arrowheads were forged using the same steel (tamahagane) and methods as traditional Japanese swords.

Tetsuya Noda, born 1940 in Kyushu. The art is a framed silkscreen mixed media work, part of the "Diary" series dated August 26th, 1985. The image and title is of his home town in Kayuwara. The edition is 11 of 15. The image size is 36 x 23 inches and 47.5 x 35.625 inches with frame. Excellent condition. Noda is part of the Sōsaku-hanga art movement and is considered a major 20th century Japanese artist.
