Japanese antique small single section mizuya tansu (kitchen chest), hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood frame, with beautiful keyaki (elm) wood drawer fronts, three compartments with sliding panels all with black lacquer frames: top sliders with keyaki wood panels, middle sliders with textured glass, bottom sliders with glass backed by wooden lattice work; 6 drawers of various sizes, warabite shaped drawer pulls, Taisho Period. Size: 43 1/4" high x 32" wide x 13 7/8" deep.

Invisible restoration on one(1) small chip 1/4" area, and very shallow stained old chip 1/2" long on the top rim.

Japanese antique large bench carved all over with dragons in swirling clouds, a total of 8 dragons, large oni demon face and birds flying over waves on apron just below seat, seat lifts up for storage, a beautiful and dramatic piece, Meiji Period. Size: 46" high x 57" wide x 23" deep.

Japanese Blue and White Transfer ware Porcelain Square cut corner deep Platter, 12" square, 1 1/2" high, pine tree, mountain and river design in the center, and two different shade of transfer blue design of trees, foliage and butterflies on the wide border. One shallow flake chip 3/4" wide underneath the rim and some old frits on the corner of the dish, and scratches in the glaze on top of the dish.

Japanese Blue & White Imari Porcelain deep Serving Dish, Ca. 1920, deep flat bottom dish for serving food, 12" diameter, 2 3/4" high, with underglaze blue decoration of mountain, pine tree and Japanese style house. Wide border of flowers in blue transfer design on inside and outside the rim, transfer blue mark on the bottom. Stained old chip 1/2" wide on the foot rim, and some scratches on top of the dish.

Children gathering Sansai mountain vegetables, a stunning Taisho period silk painting by Nishikubo Kunko. Three young girls wear indigo dyed country kimono, their forearms and shins protected from the grass and brush and heads covered in white scarves, straw sandals on their feet. They carry voluminous bamboo baskets as they move along the reed covered water’s edge, perhaps in search of fuki (Butterbur). The scene is performed with heavy pigment on silk, in completely original condition...

A finely crafted Japanese tobacco tray (known in Japanese as Tabako Bon) which is often seen being used in tea ceremony. Karaki is a term used to describe the foreign hardwoods that were imported from China and used to make furniture and accessories for the home. Age: 19th-20th century. A simple bronze with mixed metal applied to the surface utilizing the method known as zogan where gold and silver is used to apply the decoration and is fired on the surface. The motif is a plum branch with a bird known as an onagadori which is similar to a rooster, but is a distinct bird found in Japan. Piece is signed by Mitsufune. Age: 20th century/ Diameter: 2.25" Heigh: 6.25"

Japanese antique ceramic onigawara roof tile with design of swirling waves and a star shaped crest, which is the crest used by the Japanese police force. Piece is highly three dimensional, impressed with characters on top. Size: 12" high x 18 1/2" wide x 6" deep.

Japanese Satsuma vase with various scenes from different periods in Japanese history and one view with Chinese scholars or sages. The views are framed with a motif of flowers and fans. Bottom of the vase contains a name that is impressed in the clay. The top part of name is unreadable, the bottom contains the name Satsuma ware. Age: Taisho Period. Size: Diameter: 2.75"

Japanese vase with a view of a temple near a lake within the mountainside. The way the bamboo is painted and the serene setting is seen in similar pieces done in Kutani and Kyoto wares. Vase contains a signature on the bottom set in a cartouche with the name, Shintou. Age: Meiji/ Taisho period. Size: Height: 7.25" Diameter: 2.75"

Three(3) Japanese Hina Dolls, Meiji period, 9 1/4" to 6 1/4" high, 4 3/4" to 5 1/2" wide, 3" deep, with humorous face expressions were very well executed, carved out of the wood and lacquered, all have glass eyes. Each guys wearing silk garment and hat. Three(3) pieces of accessories came with doll set and the condition is good except silk garments are stained slightly with age and one(1) hat has loose rope.

A small sized Kutani ware censer decorated with motif of chrysanthemums and calligraphy inscribed on a circular base and on the lid's hand scroll like design,all the work meticulously executed by hand. On one sides of the censer is a small detailed calligraphy of the entire poetry collection of the Manyoshu and Shinkokinshu...
