A tall, cylindrical shape bronze vase by Nakajima Yasumi II (1905-1986). Patinated dark reddish - brown bronze. Vase ornamented with horizontal bands raised in relief and flaring out at the waist and sloping inward to the shoulder. Wood box inscribed on the outside of the lid and signed and sealed on the inside. Vase signed at the bottom: Yasumi. H. 28.5 cm. Showa period. *** Nakajima Yasumi II (1905-1986) was a very well known Osaka bronze artist who's real name is Nakajima Mitsuo...

The size of Fubako: 11 1/2" Long x 8 9/16" Wide x 2 1/16" High. This is beautiful and classy Japanese Shunkei Lacquer Fubako (stationary box) with fine Japanse Brocade design with flower and karakusa design. Inside has lavender color velvet inside cover as well as inside bottom. The condition of Fubako excellent. It never been used. There is no warping. No scratch and wear. It has the date on the back of box Showa 54. (1979) Sept. 6th. It said as the appreciation of many long years working...

A large bronze sculpture of a slender young woman undressing rendered in a quote naturalistic manner. Brown patination. Inscribed and signed storage box and with Japanese Kanji name character on the back side of the base. H 42 cm. Showa around 1950´s to 60´s. Perfect condition. Made by Nakagawa Kiyoshi (1897-1977) born in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo Art School (now Tokyo University of the Arts)...

Lovely little Inaba white cloisonne box with a silver finish. The lid features flowers in a rocky garden setting and inside the box is engraved with flowers. Marked with Inaba logo on base bottom, it is also maked inside with the logo and the words "Made in Japan". In excellent condition, it measures 3.5 by 3 inches, and 1.5" high. Dates mid 20th C.

A rarely encountered large format limited edition Japanese woodblock print titled Constellation No. 38" by Joichi Hoshi (1913-1979). Pencil-signed "Joichi Hoshi" and dated '67 in the lower margin. The artist’s square seal is visible in the image above the signature. Pencil-titled in kanji at the left side of the bottom margin and numbered 2/50. Marked with the edition number 2/80. Paper: 30" x 24 1/4" (image: 28 5/8" x 22 5/8")...

Very unusual and elegant Japanese Kuronbo (of African decent) wooden kokeshi doll. Especially hard to find with a child. Dating mid 20th century, this would fit perfectly in a mid-century home or a make perfect gift for the collector. IMPORTANT NOTE: Glare from lights makes a shape that follows the curve of the chin making making the mother's mouth appear to have lips. She does not. Adult doll measures 11" tall, child is 4.75" high"

Japanese Porcelain Umbrella Jar or Stand, 24" high, 9 1/2" diameter, beautifully decorated over glaze enamel of flowering branches and Phoenix Bird in the colorful floral background. The condition is good no damages. The dark line inside the stand is glaze ran down from the top rim, not crack.

Black lacquered Metal Japanese style Garden Lantern, 10 1/2" high, 10" wide(top)7 1/2" wide(bottom feet), all in one(1) piece, chain on top to hand. The condition is good.

Black Lacquered Metal Garden hanging Gold Fish, or Koi with open work, 14" long, 8" high, 9" deep, chain on top to hand on the tree, the mouth is wide open, the condition is good.

Japanese limited edition color etching and aquatint titled "Paris" by Kenji Ushiku (1922-?). Pencil-signed, titled, and numbered 63/150 in the bottom margin. Ushiku was particularly active in the 1960s and 1970s. There is a pencil notation of "4-80-45" at the bottom edge which could perhaps imply a date of April 1980. Paper size: 15 1/2" x 22." Very good overall condition. Printed on heavy rag paper with large margins. Never framed.
