A six panel screen with mineral colors, and gold leaf clouds meandering though out scenes depicting a view from the Tale of Genji. The chapter that would be closely associated to the screen is Chapter 19, Usugumo, translated as Wisp of Clouds. The scene is showing Prince Genji wearing a white informal court robe, lined with red and is selecting robes for the visit of Lady Akashi.

This is Indigo dye cotton shibori & katazome yogi textile of the last part of Edo era(1800-1868).It is made of hand-spun and hand-woven and natural indigo dyed cotton. It has a stain to a little damage and lining. However, it does not stand out.It has one repair trace. It is very good condition. size:150cm x 140cm (59.0" x 55.1")

This is Apron textile of the baby shibori & nishiki-ori of the last part of Edo era(1800-1867). It is a very impressive design. It has a thin stain. It has a little snag and part which I rubbed against. The black part is a velvet, and the lining is crimson silk. size:39cm x 37cm (15.3" x 14.5")

This is Indigo dye cotton tsutsugaki furoshiki textile of the last part of Edo era(1800-1867).It is made of hand-spun and hand-woven and natural indigo dyed cotton. There is it sum slight small hall. It is echigo-jyofu hemp Indigo dye kasuri Child kimono of the Edo era81800-1867). The kimono is very rare, and It is excellent and am delicate, and the technique is very beautiful. It is a Chinese hairdo and a pattern of the treasures. It does not have a stain and the damage. size:86cm x 74cm (33.8" x 29.1")

A large standing esoteric protector deity known as Gozanze Myoo. The piece has darkened from the smoke of the goma offerings done for the image. The statue is posed doing the Gozanze mudra, which is the mudra of subjugation. Gozanze Myoo's name literally means the vanquisher of the three realms, where this myoo destroys foolishness and anger. Beautiful antique Japanese Edo Period Imari Large Octagonal Bowl Decorated with scenes of rural sea side huts. Inside there is a large kirin in swirling clouds. Wonderful patterns of chrysanthemums, blue underglaze with orange, green and gold details. Seal in blue on the bottom of bowl. Age: Late Edo Period (1803 - 1817). Size: 12" diameter x 4.375" height.

Beautiful Japanese kusuri medical dansu made of kiri wood (paulownia) and sugi side frames (Japanese cypress or cryptomeria). With original finish and hardware. Lacquer with orange, dark reddish, brown and mahogany tones. Usually with 100 small drawers and two large drawers on the bottom. Metal hardware on each drawer and side handles. Age: Edo Period. This is a "yogi", a kind of futon in the shape of kimono made of hand-spun cotton of Edo era (1800-1867). It is stuffed with cotton and has hand-spun cotton lining dyed with vegetable color. It is indigo dyeing cotton Yogi of the Edo era. It uses technique of the ombre dyeing. It is dyeing of the high technique. It is handspan, handwoven and it is dyed with an indigo plant of nature. It has several places of repair traces. There is not the stain. It is all original in the Edo era. Size 147cm x 126cm(57.8"x49.6")

This is shijira Noshime kimono of the samurais with luster dyed with an indigo plant of nature of the Edo era. This has two places of small holes and thin stain This Nosime features deep indigo dyeing with clean luster and Kasuri of transparent blue. In this way, Nosime of the indigo dyeing of Sijira with the luster is rare. This was made in Kyoto and was used in Akita. Size 141cm x 132cm (55.5” x 51.9”)

This is an upper child kimono of the Shonai district (Yamagata). It features blue dyeing and beautiful Tutugaki The Yuzen process of the freehand drawing is beautiful, this is thick cotton spun by hand. And crane and tortoises of the freehand drawing run well too. Lining is cotton dyed with rouge made specially in Yamagata. There are four stains of approximately 1cm (figure 1). There are two places extremely thin stain (figure 2). And there is one place of old rectification (figure 3)...

It is woven by cotton and silk dyed with natural plant dye beautifully. You can enjoy cotton of Japan by touching it and the delicate change of the thread will be comfortable to your eyes. This is a hydrangea pattern and a high technique of yuzen dye, and shadow and the color of the leaf are expressed boldly. It is the gem which does not exist in other tsutsugaki. It is a painting of wonderful yuzen dye. Tsutsugaki is done by a considerably exact technology. It is a wonderful masterpiece of Edo at latter term. There is slightly a repair mark.It has several small holes.The material is hemp (superior grass cloth)and cotton. size:162cm x 140cm (63.7" x 55.1")

Douchuugi is Kimono which a person wore at the time of going out. This Douchuugi is the kimono which a samurai wore in a trip. List cloth is cotton. And lacquer is painted the surface with. Because it was able to rub against the surface which created beautiful changes. However, it is beautiful like "unintentional art".
