A deep wan-gata bowl swept with swirling Zen brush-strokes over earthen glaze by veteran female artist Shigemori Yoko enclosed ina wooden box titled O-Chawan (Big Tea Bowl). Kano school painting depicted a white heron rests on the willow tree. Painted with ink and pigments on silk. Sealed. It is inscribed the name Kano Motonobu on the side of the scroll.

The condition is reasonable due to its great age, with some marks, crease, damage are present on the painting and scroll mounting due to its great age. There are more crease than you see in the image.

A tiny tree frog rests safely on the edge of the broad leaf of a Basho tree, the leaf just beginning to curl in upon itself, a sign of the delicate transience of life. It is 50 cm long and in overall excellent condition signed beneath by the artist.

A large white Tea Bowl by Kashima Aya enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The technique is deceptively complex. In fact, the initial form is created, then a thin layer of ceramic is made separately, dried, then cracked, and the individual pieces are applied like mosaic to the prepared form.
