Hand forged iron hardware with Warabite style handles and corner drawer front reinforcements. 5 drawers for storage and organization with 2 side handles for carrying this chest from room to room. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nails. Perfect side chest or bedside night stand.

An antique Japanese Katana Tansu (sword storage chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Warabite style handles. Side handles for ease of carrying. Large drawer used to store the Katana while the medium drawer stored the Wakizashi. The small drawer stored the sharpening and cleaning supplies for the weapons.

Antique Japanese ikebana basket with tall, arching handle. Oval form body on a round foot. Fine split bamboo is tightly woven around the upper and lower portion of the body. A wide band in the center is accented with a wave pattern. The handle is tightly wrapped to create a series of small squares. The basket utilizes many different types of knot work.
