Very rare Momoyama period (1568-1600) Ko Karatsu sake cup formerly in the collection of Fujio Koyama (1900-1975).

Shallow body with uneven rim typical for Momoyama period. There are skillfully made gold kintsugi repairs over the edge.

The old wooden custom-made Magewappa box has a label which says that the cup was in the collection of Fujio Koyama and dated as Momoyama period.

The ultimate in crusty, a radical charred vessel by Kanzaki Shiho enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Iga Hanaire. Two sides are completely blackened and coated in Koge-charring. Japanese wooden inro with two compartments depicting a carp with horn eyes, finely carved. From the mouth comes the cord that crosses the agate ojime and reaches the boxwood netsuke which depicts the story of Oniwaka Maru, the future Benkei, and the giant carp. A finely cast Japanese bronze koro and cover modelled as a resting egret, 13 cms. long, Edo/Meiji period.

Antique Japanese large bronze vase in the form of a round lotus leaf. It sits on top of a smaller lotus leaf on a hexagonal base. Each side of the base has birds in relief flying over waves. Likely from a Buddhist temple. The lotus blooming from out of the mud represents enlightenment.

Superb covered incense box entirely gold lacquered with decoration of bamboo leaves and wisteria in a lake environment and on a base of nashiji gold powder. The 2 parts of the box are surrounded by shibuishi (silver and copper alloy). Edo period 18/19th century. Diameter 6cm x Height 3,5cm.
