A classic bun-shaped Koro incense burner by Miyagawa Chozo pierced with Incense-clock-patterns enclosed in the rare original signed wooden box. It is 8.8 cm diameter, 7.5cm tall and is in excellent condition. The box contains a hand written note in old Japanese describing the origins of Makuzu-ware.

The surface of this black glazed bowl signed on the base Dohachi has been impressed all over with seals in a style known as In-chirashi. It comes in an ancient wooden box with ebony rim titled inside Dohachi Saku (Chirashi-in) Chawan, while outside a much-worn paper label reads In-chirashi Dohachi Saku Chawan. Antique Japanese carved wooden figure of Shoki the Demon Queller, beautifully carved with billowing robe, covered in gold brocade obi fabric, this is an unusually exquisite version of the commonly smaller and plainer Kimekomi-ningyo. The movement of the drapery and intense facial expression with hand-painted eyes tell of the artistic skill used in the making of this doll. An antique Japanese two section isho tansu (chest on chest for clothing) made of kiri (paulownia) wood. The top and bottom section has two large drawers. Hardware is made of iron and includes round lock plates and square drawer pulls.

This Umakake was used in the Shinshu region during the Edo period, and Umaya-zaru was drawn with Tsutsugaki. Umaya-zaru was believed to be the guardian deity of horses. These days, it is a very rare item that is rarely seen. Cotton cloth is hand-spun and thick. The cleverly designed Umaya-zaru is interesting. There is no stain damage at all. This is a very fine and highly decorated cloisonne vase from Ota. I has 6 different panels and loads of detail and colorful scroll work. The hardwood (Rosewood or Mahogany) stand is old an is included with the vase. The vase stands 6 inches tall and is in excellent condition.
