This is one of the most significant Japanese satsuma pieces ever created. This is a museum piece with fabulous workmanship in combination with a very large size. This bowl truly has a volume 10-20 times bigger than a normal 5 inch Yabu Meizan bowl. It measures 7 inches tall and is 9 ¾ inches wide. It is also heavily made weighing about 4-5 lbs. Japanese early 20th century vase by Sasaki Niroku. The vase is done in the shape of a well bucket with crab on the side. The piece is done in fine detail and very realistically. The vase TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The piece measures 9" tall, 6" wide and 6 3/4" deep.

Japanese Kutani Porcelain Cup and Saucer, Ca. 1910, Meiji Period, 4 7/8" diameter-saucer, 1 7/8" high, 3 7/8" wide include handle-cup, very detailed design of Japanese garden and bird flying over in Orange and Gold on white background, highlighted with brilliant gold on orange background design. Japanese Imari Porcelain Scalloped Rim dish, Ca. 1920, Meiji period, 5 1/4" diameter-top rim, 1 1/2" high, with typical Imari colors red, green clue and Gold highlighted floral design, unglazed half outer area inside bottom rim, left glazed center area in the bottom. The condition is good.

This is beautiful Japanese antique Satsuma box with very fine detailing. The white enameling in the flowers and leaves with the gold detail s remind us of work seen on some Seikozan or Shizan pieces. A load of time consuming workmanship went into this piece. It is in outstanding condition with minor gold wear. The box measures 4 3/8 by 3 1/4 inches and is about 2 inches deep. It is not chipped, cracked or repaired. Any discoloration where the lid sets down is missing gold from wear or dirt...

Japanese Satsuma Earthenware Koro, Incense Burner, on Tripod feet and two(2) Elephant Handles, signed "Senzan", Ca. Meiji period 1910, 5" high include Foo Dog top, 6 1/4" wide include 2 handles, ladies and Gentlemen in Japanese traditional clothes within several circles between multiple bands of flowers, Gold Foo Lion knob and 3 heart shape openings on top. The condition is good except tiny frit inside the rim on the bottom piece.

A rare pair of Japanese double gourd shaped porcelain vases, decorated with a ho-o bird flying over "prunus mume" in overglaze blue, green, yellow, aubergine, iron red and gold. Standing on a broad footrim, the rim with "kuchibeni". Condition: fine, only one vase with a short hairline ending in a tiny rim frit on the rear side (please see photo no. 12). Dimension: 19.3 cm high.

Large Japanese Imari porcelain charger decorated in a free-form pattern of underglaze blue geometric, floral, and phoenix bird patterns with overglaze polychrome and gilt highlights. Two white floral areas in the center are raised in slight "moriage" relief, giving the charger a rich texture. The underglaze blue decoration on the back surrounds a six-character apocryphal Chinese Ming dynasty Chenghua reign mark...

A very nice Japanese, Meiji Period (1868-1911) drum form Satsuma lidded box with two faux molded handles to the sides. The exterior and interior of box and lid each are decorated with scenes. Signed on bottom, it measures 5.5 inches diameter, 3" high.

A unique Ko-sumetsuke tea ceremony plate with an unusual motif of a raging bull. The center of the plate is divided into 5 sections with scrolling vines and chrysanthemums. The central figure is a raging bull in a pine forest with rounded fronds. The perimeter of the dish is ringed with a classic cloud image. Ko-sometsuke (old blue and white) porcelain was produced specifically for the Japanese market during the final decades of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644)...

A very rare and fine Japanese Satsuma water dropper in the form of a Kyoto style saki pot. Delicately painted with figures and flowers, it is supported on three tiny feet and signed on bottom. In excellent condition, this treasure measures a mere 2 5/8 in diameter and about 1.25" high. Dates Meiji Period, 1868-1912.

This is a fine Japanese Satsuma sake pot or small teapot. It is signed by Kinkozan. Still retains part of the original Kinkozan sticker on the underside of the lid. Which means this piece was never used as a saki or teapot. It measures 4 1/2 inches across at the spout. The handle is slightly tattered but the pot is in excellent condition.

A watch fob made up of 4 Satsuma decorative ceramic rounds with metal surrounds and chains. The backs of the mountings have the impressed Satsuma mark. The fob measures about 5" long, and the largest round measures about 1". The fob dates to the late 19th/early 20th Centuries. The condition is excellent/perfect.
