Here’s a really large Neolithic greenstone Axe from the early Funnel Beaker Culture, dating to around 4000-3500 BC.
A massive axe in hand, weighing 3,1 kg. on the kitchenweight. The axe is made out of greenstone that was polished into the four-sidet shape. 10-12 cm from the edge, the axe ‘hollows’, indicating the place where the axe was fastened to the shaft. $750.00 Chinese Western to Eastern Jin dynasty (ca. 4th century) Yue ware dish-mouth vase (pan kou hu) with wide shoulders tapering to a flat, slightly concave unglazed base. Two double-strand lug handles are at the top of the shoulder connecting to the bottom of the short neck. It is covered in a thin, light buff-celadon colored glaze that extends down toward the unglazed base. The glaze becomes more buff-tan in coloration in a patch on one shoulder and in some areas of the neck and mouth. 11" high...

On Hold A Chinese Yue Celadon Glazed Chicken-Head Ewer. Circa, 220-589, Six Dynasties.
This jar features a compressed globular body with a short neck that flares to a thick upper flange which is slightly depressed in the center. Opposite its thick curved handle is a chicken-head spout. Two lug handles set on its shoulders and is covered with a green celadon glaze. Its base is unglazed exposing a compact grey stoneware clay.

Sold, Thank you Delicate fish scale patterns in gold on bronze lacquer highlight old chips on the rim of this large Yamachawan Tea bowl dating from the Kamakura to early Muromachi periods (12th -15th centuries). Blue glaze twinkles on the heavily eroded surface, where Shizen-yu ash pooled and crystallized. There is a large slash in the glaze where another bowl had been stacked inside, and there are much losses to the surface glazing typical of excavated works...

$525.00 Two very rare Ko-imari rice bowls from the Genroku period. C. 1690-1710. These are just gorgeous, the bottoms are painted in the chevron pattern, and various geometrical patterns of roundels with honey comb patterns throughout. Two dragons adorn either side of each cup and each surrounded with colors of iron red and green enamels with gold gilt accents. Each bowl and cover are in perfect condition with very little wear to the enamels, almost non-existant. They measure with lid on about 3 1/8" ...
From our Japanese Collection, a good Fuyode Ko-Imari Arita blue and white porcelain dish, the term "Fuyode" referring to late 17th century Japanese porcelain painted in the style of Chinese Ming Dynasty porcelain. This is one of the earliest examples of Japanese Arita ware. This dish is painted in underglaze blue with a central panel of flowering peony, and with panels of the “Three Friends of Winter" design (pine, bamboo, and prunus) in the border.
