Meiji (1868-1912) Japanese Makuzu Kozan Satsuma Censer Koro Buddha Crane - AS IS

It is 16 inches (40.6 cm) tall by 8 inches (20.3 cm) wide. It is 8.1 Lb.

It has been restored at the crane, shoulo, both handles, the monkeys' arms, and the rim. It also has rubbing of gold and paint, firing cracks, missing accessories at the shoulo's hands, stains, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...

This is a fine Japanese Satsuma sake pot or small teapot. It is signed by Kinkozan. Still retains part of the original Kinkozan sticker on the underside of the lid. Which means this piece was never used as a saki or teapot. It measures 4 1/2 inches across at the spout. The handle is slightly tattered but the pot is in excellent condition.

A medium sized Japanese Oribe dish with a rich, brilliant green glaze and plum blossom brush painting. The crackle in the glaze adds to the design and the edging is painted. The bottom is unglazed and has 4 indented strips. Invented in Japan in 1605, Oribe ware introduced vivid pattern and color to a ceramics tradition that had previously favored somber, monochrome designs.

This is a great example Meiji Era satsuma. It is probably my favorite piece from Shizan. The colors are rich and the detail is fantastic. It stands 4 3/4 inches tall. This Ewer is in nearly perfect condition.

Chinese Han dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) pottery jar with splayed neck and everted rim covered overall with an iridescent green lead glaze. Characteristic kiln support remnants are on the base and mouth. 5 1/2" high x about 5” diameter. Very good overall condition. Three kiln kisses are on the side of the jar. The condition is good except tiny frit inside the rim on the bottom piece.
