A fine example of an 18th C. Tibetan painted leaver hide over hardwood trunk. Original hand forged fifties are in place. Along with original ring an loop style hinged top. Top hinges open to reveal open storage area. Very sturdy in construction and can hold up to modern day use without issue.

Beautiful 18th century black stone schist of vishnu with four arms. The arms hold a flower, a talisman with a 5 point star, a chile, and one hand is open palm outward with a dot in the middle. There are two attendants, one on either side. It measures 20" tall by 10" wide. Has metal base 4" deep.

Beautiful Ghandaran modeled stucco head. This artifact is from the McCloud collection. Ghandara refers to the Peshawar valley and some parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan. This region was heavily influenced by greco-roman style as a result of Alexander the Great's campaign in the far east. Rare Tibetan antique skull drum called a damaru (or damru). Two skulls make up the two sided drum connected in the middle. Two small beads at the end of thin cords attached in the center beat the drum when it held upright and twisted. A long silk sash (chopen) decorated with two tassels and auspicious symbols hangs from the center. The damaru is a sacred instrument adopted from the Hindu tantric practices of ancient India...

A pair of Syrian pier mirrors made of Wengi wood. Inlaid crown and frame with brass, mother-of-pearl, Ebony, bone, and Mahogany. The crown each features a bouquet of flowers each with its own individualized pot displaying Carnations and Poppies. Antique Tibetan pair of offering bowls. Each bowl is carved of burl wood and has an ornate silver foot decorated with cabochons of coral and turquoise. The silver bottom of each bowl is incised with a scene of mother and baby fu lions. The bowls have interiors that have been lined and edged with silver.
