Powerful and quite rare wood image depicting Hayagriva, the wrathful emanation of Avalokiteshvara, with a horse head appearing from his skull, a dorje in his right hand; he is wearing a long necklace of skulls (the center, lower part is lost), he wears a human and elephant skin on his shoulders ( the lower, left corner of the “skin” is broken, old brake). Exceptionally fine and well cast bronze 18th Century Ganesha sculpture from Southern India with many details and a wonderful natural patina, clearly showing Puja (long term worship of object). Very good condition with one tine of trident missing from long ago (not recent loss). Superb specimen and rare because of it's size, i.e. H. 4.5" (11.6 cm.). Provenance: European Private Collection.

Tibetan Himalayan Heavy large carved wood Manuscript/script Cover, some of the gold and Polychrome finish still remain between low relief carved design, 27 1/2" long, 10 1/2" high, 1 1/2" thick, weight is heavy and one(1) large size of wood panel was used. One end is carved with polychrome and gold finish, and the other end is not carved. There are some yak butter stains on wood, and rounded corners with age. The condition is good, no damage or restoration.

Four wonderfully executed oval Indian paintings of Mughal rulers in gouache and gold on paper. Framed behind glass in a gilt wooden frame, in France in the 19th century. The passe-partout with handwritten titles as: "Shah Ichan" (Jahan?), "Shah Alum" (Alam), "Azime Shah" and "Miran Shah". Reverses with the label of the framer. Condition: the frames with traces of usage and age and small losses, one frame damaged. Dimension: portraits: c. 9.5 x 7.5 cm, frames: 24 x 20 cm.

Antique Nepalese bronze melong, "Mirror of Emptiness". Melong are placed on altars to reflect right thoughts. This melong has a polished center surrounded by flames. It stands on a lotus base. It is the same on either side. A soft rattling sound from within the convex portion of the mirror reveals that it has been consecrated, meaning a prayer has been placed inside.

Antique Tibetan vajrakila phurba, a Buddhist sacred dagger "believed to be capable of transmuting vice and egocentrism into benevolent compassion.
