The monkey is a symbol of rank and promotion. Here we see a kneeling monkey holding its legs. It has a warm glossy patina, some parts of the foot are missing. H. 5 cm.

Intricately carved with a three legged toad (wealth) resting on a leaf, next to a lotus pod with movable hardwood seeds, under the leaf a spider and another insect and two frogs on the stem of the lotus pod. Antique snuff bottle made from beautifully hand-carved peking glass with a smokey clear-tone body, dipped into vibrant green and white glass. One side of the bottle shows a hawk perched upon a branch with blooming flowers, and the other side shows a dog pup gazing up at the bird. Has a jade topper. Signed with a cartouche, dates from early 20th century. Size: 3.5" tall, 1.5" wide

This is one of the first tea bowls in Japan, which came together with the first tea from China. It is a Chinese Jian Tenmoku Tea Bowl of the oil-spot type. These bowls were produced in large quantities for the general public as well as for the imperial court between the 10th and and the 13th century in the Fujian province.

This type with the flaring mouth is relatively rare and is shaped in James M. Plummers: Temmoku (Tokyo, 1972), p.63...

Very nice early Ming "deep" bowled plate with a thick light green crackled glaze. In very good condition without any chips. Good symmetry overall. Diameter: 10 inches, height is 2 and half inches.

Song brown glaze jarlet...overall in good condition without chips or damage. This jarlet appears to have slumped slightly some time prior to firing. Diameter: 2 and half inches, height 2 and quarter inches.

Song Dynasty Jarlet with a light brown glaze that covers upper portion of jarlet. A wear mark to lip of jar and to some small to glaze. Small chip oat base. Otherwise in good condition. Nicely proportioned and with good symmetry, Dimensions:3 inches wide and 2 and half inches tall.

A lovely Chinese Export porcelain Rose Mandarin footed Tea Bowl,unmarked, decorated with figural cartouches on a diaperwork ground, mid 19th century; rim chips, minor glaze crazing on base; 3 ¼” diam.

Chinese wood grain Shuffle or bucket, 24" high, 9 1/2" wide, 7" deep, with iron mounted around the corners and curved handle in front,and round handle on the bottom area to grip firmly. Worn area and shows a lot of usage.

Chinese glazed, green porcelain water dropper, in a zoomorphic form resembling a canine, with finely etched "hairs" along its body. It is baring its teeth and has three holes, two in its mouth (one plugged, the other open for the flow of water) and one in its back to be filled with water. Qing dynasty, reign of K'ang Hsi (1662-1722) Size: 3" tall, 2.25" wide
