Size: 1.75" x 1.75" x .75" Chinese Qing dynasty wucai porcelain scalloped edge ritual bell with double-dragon form handle decorated with eight polychrome mythical beasts set against underglaze blue crashing waves on a white ground. Two narrow bands are at the top. The interior is a pale aqua color. The scalloped edge is unglazed. 6 3/4” high. 19th century. Fine quality restorations have been executed to an old hairline in the interior of the bell and to a small area of damage at the scalloped edge...

Each half reticulated with five roundels, two of them stylized shou characters and inlaid with floral motifs in mixed metal. The insert of ring gimbals with the central bowl is missing.
