Inquire for Price Set of 3 19th Century Chinese Soapstone Carved Scholar Figures
The tallest one is 3 inches (7.7 cm) tall by 2.2 inches (5.5 cm) wide. The shortest one is 2.6 inches (6.5 cm) tall by 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) wide. Total weight is 0.9 Lb. One figure is missing a head. They have small and flea bite chips, inclusions, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos). Some of the photos were taken under the sun... These 3 small oil lamps were brought back to the US by a Baptist missionary who lived and traveled extensively throughout China. Oil lamps like these were used for light source extensively throughout rural China by poor peasants. Simply made, presumed cut from scraps of tin and soldered into shape.. the lids come off for filling with oil and some original home made wicks remain in place.
The tallest is 5 inches high...
A very interesting set of 5 porcelain bowls with monochrome glaze, marked with maker's mark. China, late Qing or early Republic. H. 6,5 cm, Diameter 11 cm. Condition: small piece of glaze is missing on the inside bottom of the green bowl, the same bowl has a minor glaze imperfection on the outside. The rest of the set is in mint condition.

Set of four Chinese Qing dynasty porcelain wine cups each decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze iron-red enamel with two four-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl. An underglaze blue geometric border is at the rim and blue waves surround the foot. The interior well holds five blue bats surrounding a shou (longevity) symbol. A six-character underglaze blue zhuanshu square form Qianlong mark is on the base. Possibly mark and period...
