A fabulous piece of black satin silk embroidered with real seed pearls to create 2 bouquets and 3 individual flowers. Custom made in the 1950's there are about 2,000 seed pearls which are individually hand sewn. There are 3 sizes of small pearls in two different shades, two are a silvery dark grey/black color and the third is a medium black. Black jet beads make up the make the stems and the center of the largest flowers. These beads are the darkest black on this material...

Matching pair of oxblood porcelain monochrome vases. Vases have gorgeous red tone with vertical streaks of varying blue, and green white dripping glaze. Very rare complete jacket back panel from the remote Miao Jiupang group from Jiahe County, Guizhou province (see last enlargement), with purple embroidered pattern between the spaces in the tin decoration. This style of decoration is unique to this group and very difficult to make, as every tiny bit of tin has to be individually cut and crimped. Recently acquired from a private Hong Kong collector, these are the first examples I have send of these I have seen in the past 10 years...

Vintage chinese peking glass bowl with a gold leaf rim. The outside is decorated with beautiful, intricate scenery depicting an oceanside temple amidst large rock formations and trees, while tiny sail boats and birds float off in the distance. The inside of the bowl has a similar depiction of a small house by the ocean. Signed and stamped on its side, and marked on the bottom.

Chinese jade bowl, carved with a scrolling vine motif and auspicious symbols. The foot of the bowl is bordered by a lotus pattern. Finely carved of very thin jade of a beautiful mottled green, ome small cracks. Circa 1950

A rare carved bone abacus with integral reverse glass painting depicting four boys, in a garden setting, peering into a large fish bowl. There is an added inscritpion carved into one side recording that this item was given as a gift in Hong Kong in 1953. Condition; very good - no damages or losses. 11.5cm (4.5 inches) long; 5.5cm (2.2 inches) wide; 1.5cm deep.

Chinese Amber carved Chimera Ornament with Macrame knot, 1" 7/8" wide, 5/8" thick, 4 1/2" long with rope overall, nice carved body and face, the condition is good.

Good Karen basket waterproofed with natural tree lacquer, good condition- i.e. no damage. Circa 40 to 50 years- purchased in the 1990s in Mae Hong Song, along the Thai/Burmese border. I was back there recently and old baskets have all sold out. See last enlargement for reference.
