Beautiful set of six porcelain dinner plates for the Straits Chinese market, enamelled with the phoenix and peony motif. A very fine antique Chinese archaic green jade carving of a beast. It's head has barred teeth and is turned to look backward over it's haunches to which are attached wing-like structures or a kind of stylized saddle. The unusual and thick tail twists and spirals in a circle and the feet rest on a sleigh-like pierced base. Early 19th Century, origin China, very good condition with no cracks or repairs. Size: L. 7 cm. x H. 4.75 cm. Rare!

Antique porcelain bowl in traditional blue and white style, in which ground cobalt is used for the blue underglaze. Around the sides and inside the bowl are flying dragons with sharp claws and cloud designs. Chinese enameled porcelain bowl, exteriodr decorated with floral design and cartouche depicting Chinese character, from late 19th/early 20th century period, bears Chinese seal mark to the base. Size; Diameter of bow is 6 1/8 inches with height of 2 3/8 inches, in good condition with hardly visible age hairline to exterior of the bowl.

It has rubbing of paint and gold, skip glazes, stains, firing cracks at the bottom, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Has small traces of red lacquer, and above its lips are remains of where many bunches of hair would once have been, missing due to antiquity. Beautiful Chinese antique tray made of intricately carved red cinnabar with carved black lacquer overlay, the red lacquer is carved in a tiny patterned background while the black lacquer is carved as a scene of scholars in a garden setting with black mountains rising on the other side of a carved cinnabar lake, the edges are carved with flowers and bats, stands on four small feet, late 19th century.
