An archaic style jar with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts depicticting a Scholar / Musician with a Servant carrying a Qin (string instrument). This item was made in the late 19th Century for export, possibly during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874) when this style was first introduced. Lovely Chinese jade rectangular plaque, well-carved with a flying dragon chasing his flaming jewel, with a pierced hole for hanging, the reverse reads "Xiang Long Cheng Chang" in a rectangular cartouche, the color is a pale celadon tan with a russet trace, size: 2.5" High

This antique Chinese lotus shaped serving tray is elaborately inlayed with Mother of Pearl. The MOP design covers the surface of the tray and also goes about the exterior face of the narrow rim. Wood is most likely ebony and tray dates from mid 18th century.

Condition: All the MOP inlay is intact but there are numerous tiny nicks and chips in the surface finish on the inside and outside edges of the rim surround...

Antique Chinese tall wardrobe cabinet, made all of jumu (elm) wood with very beautiful grain, middle bar has been attached to door so that the cabinet opens with clear access to interior, inside has one shelf with two small drawers of jumu wood finished on the front to match the exterior of cabinet, bottom has one large drop in panel that locks with key, 19th century. Size: 78 1/2" high x 42 3/4" wide x 21" deep.

South China/North Vietnam Yao Shaman Ka Dong Deity Ritual Mask. This fine old mask would have been used in the same family for several generations to perform rituals such as those for a newborn baby and maturation. The wood for this important mask would have been taken from dep in the forest where spirits were believed to live. 14.5 inches, 37 cm.

A CHINESE FOLDING FAN.

A Chinese paper fan with bamboo sticks, the paper centre is varnished in order to stiffen the paper. The bamboo sticks are decorated with a hot point, a technique known in the West as pyrography. There is a worn out silk tassel with a large amethyst bead.

Approximately 30 cm long. The fan is in fine condition overall but one or two on the bamboo inner sticks have short splits...

A charming late 19th C. Chinese tea cup and saucer, displaying the traditional dragon and other design elements. The hollowed transparent holes are covered with glaze to form the ever popular rice pattern. Various symbols such as the sunburst represent the Emperor and bats for good fortune, on the underside of the teacup are various Doaist symbols. Tea cup measures 2.75" diameter x 2" high, saucer measures 4" diameter x 1" high". In excellent condition without hairlines or chips.

Chinese vase with clay sculpture of a dragon on the top of the vase. The vase is decorated with ancient to old bronze coins from different eras of Chinese history. In the middle, there is an inscription written about the history of Chinese coin minting technology. The calligraphy is titled: Gu Qian Ton Shuo, the story of the ancient coins. Calligraphy is signed and dated; May of 1884, brushed by Qian long shi yuan Zhao Zhun guang. Age; 19th century. Size: Diameter: 14" Height: 23.75"

An intricately hand carved wooden opium den lamp in the shape of a chair. The carving on the front bottom panel is a scene with 3 people. The central character seated at a table appears to be of the scholar class. The brackets on each side have a guardian figure. Used to illuminate Chinese opium dens, lamps like this were often their only source of lighting. The lamp’s burner bowl is stoneware is most likely a replacement...

An amazing high quality Chinese embroidered rank badge. The embroidery consists of clouds, a mountain-like pattern with a bird in the center of the embroidery. The piece is entirely embroidered. Age: Qing Dynasty. Size: Height: 13" Length: 13' Width: 1.5"

A very unusual and extremely rare ink cake in the form of a crouching dog, circa 1800. From its underside you see evidence that the ink cake was hand molded, what is even more remarkable is that this is a white ink cake, and most likely would have been used in special paintings of the scholar class. The stand is included but is not antique. The cake measures 3.5" (8.9 cm) long, 1.5" (3.8 cm) high, 2.5" (6.4 cm) wide...

A massive and extremely rare Mandarin and famille rose pattern bottle with lid. This rare Chinese export stands at 18 inches high with the lid. In excellent condition, no cracks, hairlines, chips, etc. Only minimal wear to the enamels about the neck handle, where it was most likely held. Circa 1840.

Nice used QING Dynasty Opium Pipe with rare porcelain bulb damper depicting green Dragons and bats. The mouthpiece is made of fine ivory. Good condition. Length: 47.5 cm. 19th Century, China. Beautiful custom made wooden stands as shown in photograph # 1 are included with this opium pipe.

Rare and slender Silver/Paktong Opium Pipe, QING Dynasty. The damper/bowl is in the shape of a poppy/opium bulb and is held by a hand. This hand holding the bulb/damper has a very distinct double fish engraved on it's base which in Feng Shui is the symbol of wealth, abundance and attracting good luck (see photograph #4).
