Brooch / pin made of ivory or horn, engraved and painted with a pair of auspicious birds, magpies, in a pine tree, accompanied by a poem in minuscule calligraphy. China, c 1900. Width "1 ½ / 3.8 cm. Condition: fine.

Chinese late Qing dynasty baitong (white brass), also called paktong, opium smoking pipe with nicely incised decoration featuring two beauties on a veranda on half of the base and calligraphy on the other half. Marked under the circular hinged top of the opium holder. The original tweezer and brush tool are included. Late 19th to early 20th century. 10 3/4” high to the tip of the pipe stem, base about 2 5/8” long x 1 1/4" wide x 2 1/2” high (to flat, circular lid)...

A Chinese brush or ink cake rest in scroll shape. Made of porcelain, beautifully painted in the Qianjiang Palette, showing a river landscape. The sides with some gold paint. Base with four unglazed feet. Dating to the late Qing / early Republic period. Condition: gilding with little wear. Dimension: 8 cm long x 3.3 cm wide x 1.8 cm high.

Large Qing dynasty Guangxu period cylindrical scroll pot or brush pot decorated on opposing sides with a white foliate cartouche decorated with the one hundred antiques motif. The medallions are set against a blue background with white prunus blossoms. The pot has a massive presence, measuring 8” high x 8 3/8” diameter and weighing over 6 lbs. 19th century. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs...

A very rare Ming Dynasty, Chenghua period porcelain Minyao ( peoplesware )bowl with an underglaze blue Chenghua Palace bowl motif. ( 1465 - 1487 ).The design of this bowl is based on 'palace bowls' with Chenghua reign marks, of which an example in the Ataka Collection is illustrated by T. Chinese late Ming dynasty Zhangzhou (Swatow) porcelain round form covered seal paste box decorated in green and iron-red overglaze enamels against a cream-colored ground with a deer in a central roundel on the lid surrounded by six alternating geometric panels set between a crossed line background. The interior and base are glazed but undecorated. 16th/17th century. 3 3/4” diameter x 2” high. Very good overall condition...

Chinese Famille Jaune Porcelain round shape Ginger Jar, Ca. 1920, 7 1/2" high, 7" wide- widest middle area, 3 3/4" diameter-top rim, with overglaze Happiness Chinese character inside 4 round circle wrapped around double bats, filled with sprays of pink Peony floral branches. Inside the bottom shows some rough finish stains, not crack, outside bottom is completely sealed and finished surface. Some old frits around inner rim area and some surface scratches on the glazed area.

Paper fan, mounted on rib and guard flat sticks, made of wood nicely lacquered and gold painted with elaborate human, geometric and floral designs. The paper part is made of two concentric bands, richly decorated on both sides with polychrome, gold and silver hand painted miniature scenes showing different characters on various situations. The heads of the characters are painted on ivory, and their garments are made of colored silk, all glued on the paper base...
