Antique Japanese 2-section isho tansu (clothing chest), made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. The top section has two large full width drawers. The bottom section has one large full width drawer and one medium drawer. The lower right hand side has a safe box with heavy iron work on the hinged door. Inside are two small drawers. Chinese antique pair of large stone lions (ShiShi) in dramatic traditional poses. The male lion has it's paw on the embroidered ball - when placed outside a buiding, this represents protection of the material structure. The female lion has it's paw on a playful cub - when placed outside a building, this represents protection of the building's occupants.

Dehua porcelain, more traditionally known in the west as Blanc de Chine, is a type of white Chinese porcelain, made at Dehua in the Fujian Province. It as been produced from the Ming Dynasty to the present day.

This large Chinese porcelain Dehua figure is of the Goddess of Compassion, Quan Yin. Her draped robes show well rendered, realistic modeling. A willow sprig peeks out from under her headdress...

H. 14,5 cm. One side decorated with a landscape with figures, the other side with flowers. Condition: firing crack in the neck, age cracks in the glaze. Comes with the original Christie's sticker, the original certificate and the invoice from 1992. The Vung Tau sank in 1690 on its way from China to Batavia, Indonesia. The cargo was meant for Amsterdam. The wreck was found in the early 90's and it's content was auctioned at Christie's Amsterdam in 1992...

Apart from the very nice underglaze blue and white decoration with four deers it is the extraordinary wide form of the body that makes this jarlet to a really special piece of its kind. Ming Dynasty, Wanli period ( 1573 - 1620 ) Jingdezhen ware. Diameter: 9,2 cm. H : 7,8 cm. Condition : Perfect.

Antique Chinese jade toggle, hand-carved with craggy landscape scenes, scholars, willow trees, and temples. The natural coloration and form of the jade are well-utilized in the stylized carvings.

One of the best pieces of his work is this 40 year old Tenmoku Tea Bowl of Wong Ching Chuen, the famous Chinese artist, potter and well known collector of Japanese and Chinese ceramics.

It shows perfectly the peak of his skill in throwing high sophisticated Tenomoku bowls. Mint condition - no cracks or repairs. It comes with its originally signed and sealed wooden box.
