$1,100.00 Chinese oval shaped pebble of white and green jadeite, carved with the the head and arm of Shou the Star God symbolizing longevity and good health, holding a branch in one hand of a darker jade. Late 20th century.

$595 DESCRIPTION: A Chinese pendant with coral colored stone mounted as a brooch in high relief with a scholar standing under a twisting pine in a mountain setting. The rectangular gilt frame is cast as four bamboo stalks and has a sturdy open “mesh” backing fitted with a stick pin and gold loop so that it can be worn as a brooch or necklace. Very fine work overall with no tarnish anywhere to the gilt frame. DIMENSIONS: 2 3/8” long (6 cm) x 1 7/8” wide (4.8 cm).

Sold to China - May 2013 售至中国 - 2013 年5月 A very finely potted and finely painted blue and white vase depicting three five-clawed dragons, amongst cloud scrolls, in pursuit of flaming pearls and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but, after three years deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that this item was probably made later, circa 1880-1920, during the late Qing or early Republic periods...

The waist drum with it's hourglass shape and cloth covering was tied to the players waist to allow him to move freely, without hindrance. It was an instrument of choice for dancers. In Shanxi, a waist drum dance dating back some 2000 years is still practiced today...
Decorated with dragons, fish, butterflies and long life characters, inlaid with glass beads.
The enamels in green, red, purple and several shades of blue. This type of tiaras was worn by high ranking court ladies at the end of the Qing Dynasty. Size: W. 20 cm , H. 11 cm.

From its underside you see evidence that the ink cake was hand molded, what is even more remarkable is that this is a white ink cake, and most likely would have been used in special paintings of the scholar class. Sold to UK - July 2012 售至英国 - 2012年7月 A bowl, made in imitation of late Qing Imperial style, with two roundels - one depicting a five clawed Dragon and the other a Phoenix - both separated by two iron red bats and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries what is probably the factory mark which, in Pinyin, reads "Jiu Jiang Hui Kang Chu Pin". This item was made in China in the 1940s during the late Republic period. A beautiful Qingbai porcelaneous set of cup and cupstand was found in original condition. In characteristic greenish tint in the glaze, the ware was revealed with chalk-feel bodyclay underside. The firing effects were yielded on the body clay. They were preserved in perfect condition. Some similar pieces were in the documentations. Date: Song Dynasty.960-1279. Cupstand Width: 13cm.
