This very ancient Tang artifact (681-906 A.D.). is in excellent condition with no hairlines or noticeable damage. Lid and stand included, both which are antiques in their own right. SOLD Chinese blanc de chine porcelain statue of Quan Yin, the Buddhist bodhisattva associated with compassion. Her name is short for Guanshiyin, meaning "Observing the Cries of the World." She stands upon strong, rolling winds and holds a lotus flower in her left hand. The statue is hollow and is pierced through her ears, eyes, and nostrils.

The back of the robe features a large bulb-eyed goldfish at its top and along its bottom are several birds done in coiled, gold thread.
