This is a Chinese antique brocade dragon costume of blue and gold satin silk, which draws five nail dragons on the front and back featuring Chinese treasure, longevity sign. In a very good condition No stain, no damage, yarn is not loose. Almost perfect condition. This was brought to Japan in the Qing Dynasty era. It was rarely used c1890. Height about 129 cm Width of a garment - From sleeves to sleeves 199 cm (78.3 "50.7").

An antique Tibetan traveling trunk made of hand hewn Pine wood. Leather was stretched over the wood and hand painted in polychrome lacquer. There are arrow shaped hard mounts, butterfly appliqué mounts on the corners and Dorje accents. The central panel features an offering tray of Hoju (sacred jewels). 17th century scene of "Son Returns Home After Making His Fortune to the Surprise of His Family". Hand painted with inks on silk, we are dating this painting pre 1900. Not examined out of frame, it looks to be in excellent antique condition. Measures in frame 20" x 38" high, site size 14" 27" high.

Antique Mongolian traveler's knife and chopsticks set. The knife's sheath is made of wood and completely covered in silver repoussé designs of Buddhist symbols and inlaid with coral and turquoise florets. The handle of the knife and the chopsticks are made of bone.

A rare collector's item depicting favoured subject during Chieng Hua (1465-1487) and Chia Ching (1522-1566) Reigns, i.e. 4 Fish identified as Qingyu (a fresh water Mullet), Baiyu (type of Carp), Lianyu (Bream) and Quiyu (Mandarin Fish). According to LiYiping, combination of these 4 Fish symbolises "unsullied and incorruptible"...

From our Early Chinese Collection, a fine and large Ming Dynasty lead-glazed pottery ridge (roof) tile, 15th-16th century, Hongzhi through Jiajing Period (1488-1566), depicting a guardian-demon ferociously modeled with bulging eyes, protruding fangs, pointed horns, thick musculature, and standing in defensive posture astride a cloud-swirl with fists clenched around what would have been a weapon made of wood or iron, now since rotted away and lost to time...

Chinese landscape painting with two literati figures riding a boat and enjoying the scenery. The work is titled: Guan Lushan, or View Mt. Lu. The inscription reads: Painted around late spring of 1918 following the style of Wen Hengshan. Signed: Longcheng Jushi, Huang Shanshou. Seal also reads the artist's name.
