An unusual Chinese amethyst covered vase, carved with squirrel amongst fruiting vines ,with the sides showing bunches of grapes. The cover is carved in detail with a laughing, mischievous boy holding some of the fruit. The vase stands on a separate base which is formed to resemble a rock. Sale Pending Antique Chinese porcelain bowl of a thin form, with gilt rim and yellow enamel inner rim with peaches and lucky bats. The inside center has a red dragon with gilt accenting. The outer body of the bowl has two colorful powder blue and pink-red dragons flying over waters. The bottom of the bowl is marked Guangxu period (1875-1908). Very small loss on rim.

He appears to be controlling an unhappy looking green demon with a turtle shell, sometimes called Shui Gui. Two small bats fly just next to the calligraphy on the lefthand side, with red chop by the artist.

SOLD Pair of antique Chinese hardwood oxbow arm chairs, made of Jumu (elm) wood. The backrest of each chair has been carved with a coiled dragon, facing opposite to the other. The front apron of each seat is carved with a nice sloping outer edge. The legs are connected on all sides by a stretcher.
