A blue and white dish or bowl, depicting a garden wall and rocks with peony, bamboo and prunus. China, mid Qianlong period. Made for the European market, the well surrounded by a Rococo scroll border. Diameter "8 ½ / 21.2 and height"1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: rim frits and wear to the well (cf. pics).

DESCRIPTION: A beautiful octagonal pill (or snuff) box, the top with silver filigree wire work around inset coal stones forming the shape of a five-petal flower. The box itself is silver over copper and on the inside is stamped “Made in China.” Amazingly, the original Frost Bros. retail tag remains on the inside. Chinese agate snuff bottle with black banding; rose quartz knop; good condition

Cup and saucer, both with a flower border in underglaze blue and a peony in the center. The exterior with a light Café-au-lait variation of the brown “Batavia” glaze (Batavia being the Dutch name for the VOC shipping harbour, today's Jakarta). Yongzheng, early 18th century, the base with a shop mark. Diameter of saucer "4 ½ / 11.5 cm, height of cup "1 2/3/ 4.3 cm. Condition: the cup with three chips to the rim and foot rim, two of them with old repairs (cf. pics).

Very long strand of made in Boshan, Shandong Province, Chinese wound glass trade beads 114cm/48in. Average D: 7mm/.25in. These were acquired in Northern Thailand in the 1980s, these should date to 1950 or earlier, the opaque white beads in the strand are Qing Dynasty. This type of bead was widely traded throughout Southeast Asia for centuries and amongst the Akha people considered to be heirlooms. Free shipping via Hong registered airmail. Rubbing taken from a Han Dynasty tomb vault wall depicting an elegant royal mounted entourage being greeted by courtiers. Excellent detail, horizontally mounted as a scroll with textured silk border. Very rare, Gulong Miao children’s jacket from Guizhou. This is a side opening style, made from all hand woven cloth (except for the inner sleeve lining) with hand embroidered anthropomorphic figures, on a calendared greenish cotton ground. Attractive miniature Celadon vase with light green glaze, SONG DYNASTY, China, condition: good, size: H. 4cm x 4.75cm diameter

A pretty and delicate Chinese Porcelain Dish decorated with butterflies and gourd vines in polychrome enamels upon a striking turquoise background, Republic Period, very good condition, size: H. 2cm x 14cm diameter

Made from ox horn, and shaped into a perfectly balanced shoehorn, this antique Chinese folk art artifact serves in both form and function. There is a delicately carved design on the back. The handle part of the horn has eyes carved so that the piece takes the shape of an animal and there is a hole carved so that the shoehorn can be hung from a cord. I vaguely remember hearing that the Chinese inventing the shoehorn, but have not been able to verify this as historic fact.

A blue-grey glazed pottery form of a large-eyed turtle. The turtle shell has relief patterns over which a glaze was applied.

Period: Song (10th - 13th Century, China)

Condition: Very good. No breaks. Natural crackle in the glaze from age.
