A male front Mandarin square with a tiger, denoting the 3rd military rank. Silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details. The animal is standing on a rock above deep water, the ground with Taoist longevity symbols. Blue silk lining. This late Qing Dynasty hat is in excellent condition. Made with silk fabric with silk thread satin stitch embroidery on both front and back, it has long tassels on each side.

Antique Chinese silk robe fragment richly embroidered with butterflies and flowers. Two large butterflies with beautifully elongated and swirling wings fly amidst a profusion of densely embroidered flowers. In the center, a flower bunch is embroidered using the forbidden stitch technique in shades of pink. Edged with golden Buddhist symbols. Framed.

Up for sale is an antique Chinese monochrome silk rank badge, woven with an egret, together with bats, Buddhist & Taoist auspicious objects, seawaves, sun disc, and cloud patterns; it meant to be wore on the back of a Mandarin official's surcoat; intricate weaving! 1900's Chinese Silk Embroidery "Shou" Calligraphy Fan Case with Peking Glass Beads

The overall length is 17.9 inches (45.5 cm) long. The case is 12.4 inches (31.5 cm) long by 2.36 inches (6 cm) wide. The beads are 0.87 inch (2.2 cm) long by 0.5 inch (1.29 cm) wide. It is 32.8 gram.

Intricately embroidered with dragons and waves. Sewn with golden scales, mirror attachments and three dimensional fu-lion faces.
