Antique Chinese carved jade snuff bottle. An even pale green jade carved with peaches on one side and four characters on the other. The jade is an even tone accented by two slightly diagonal striations running through. The lid is a mottled yellow glass and bronze with a bronze spoon.

Antique Chinese molded porcelain snuff bottle with a deeply modeled design of a phoenix on ones side and a dragon on the other, both on a backdrop of swirling clouds. Glazed a dark cobalt blue. Coral lid. Provenance: Collection of "Jade Collector" Howard Kaplan.

This is a two colour wufu and coin motif peking glass snuff bottle. The colour of the bat is in light brown colour and the coin is green colour. Wufu means the five fortune. The chinese coin in general means "Tong Bao" or treasure. On both side of the coin, it is inscribed with the character "Tian Xia Tai Ping" which means peace to the world. Cir. late 19th century.

Rare table size Chinese white jadeite snuff bottle with apple green and emerald green markings along with some blushes of lavender. Nicely carved in a reticulated openwork design, it is in excellent condition measuring 5.25" high x 3.25 across. On stand it measures 6.125"

Late Qing hand carved turquoise snuff bottle with bok choy and radish along with an ant, cicada, grasshopper and cricket. The workmanship and details is superbly done including the insects, having very fine details to the legs, antennae and bodies. Presented on a rosewood stand, this snuff bottle has a wonderful color and patina and is one of the coolest bug type carved snuff bottles that we have encountered in some time. Chinese snuff bottle made of various stones, with a delicate inlaid design of a a rose. The bottle has a brilliant sheen and is very elegant. 19th century Size: 2.75" height, 1.75" across, 1" thick

This is an extraordinarily beautiful antique snuff bottle of brownish glass, with a gorgeous scenery of mountains and trees with people riding horseback, which was hand-painted by the artist from the inside with a very small brush. Green agate topper. Size: 3.5" tall, 2.25" wide

The pair of snuff bottles have a hexagonal faceted shape with flattened foot. They are inlaid with iridescent shell floral motifs with dark brown lacquer wood.

Laque burgauté has Chinese origins with examples occurring as early as the Ming dynasty and was especially popular in the Qing dynasty when it was also used to cover unglazed porcelain.

A Chinese nephrite carving depicts a Lion playing with his cub (太狮少狮). Qing Dynasty. The carving is in perfect condition. Please study photos to see the jade color variance. Length: 4".

Early 1900s turquoise snuff bottle with a landscape scene having carved openwork and just loads of things going on. A very fine colored turquoise with a wonderful surface polish. It is presented on an equally fine earlier zitan, or similar, wood stand. Both are in excellent condition. Breathtaking antique snuff bottle from China, with a mosaic-like inlaid body, carving of a feline on front and back, and a small berry made from coral. The kanji on its bottom reads "Tong zhi nian xing", which means "Made during the year of Tongzhi". Very bright and beautiful with extremely detailed carving. 19th century Size: 2.5" tall, 1.75" wide

Antique stone snuff bottle with detailed carvings of a two young, smiling Chinese boys, huddled around a bottle-gourd with a small bird. The bottle has a topper, carved in the shape of a flower bud. Antique Chinese snuff bottle made of peking glass (Tao Liao Ping), with an orange background and white and bright green glass overlay, hand carved into the shape of flowers on a vine. The artist would have started with a single-colored glass,dipped the bottle into the white and green glass to create layers, and then carved away the excess. 19th century Size: 2 3/8" tall, 1" wide

Beautiful little snuff bottle made from translucent cream-colored aragonite, a 3.5-4 on the Mohs (hardness) scale, with carvings of a bat (symbol for good luck) with a strand of Chinese coins (means "fortune before your eyes" when paired with a bat). Republic period c1920 Size: 2.75" long, 1" wide

Chinese porcelain snuff bottle in the likeness of a playful lion, also known as 'Shi' or 'Foo Dog', with a yellow body, light green tail and mane, brown, bushy eyebrows, and chewing on a xiù qiú ball with flower designs and a green ribbon tied around it. The front of the xiù qiú is the opening to the snuff bottle and has a Jade stopper. 19th century Size: 3" long, 1" wide
