This very well carved two-tone hard stone snuff bottle is a 1980's product. It depicts an old sage chatting with a young man under a pine tree. It is 3" high, 2" wide and 1 3/8" thick with a red carnelian and silver rim cap. It is in great condition.

The lower body of the toad appears more green and transitions to the classic turquoise blue in the upper body and face. the stone is mottled with natural dark brown oxide veining. The small toad is carved with a smiling, open mouth with a carved turquoise stopper.

Circa 1870s hand carved and highly polished rock crystal and purple amethyst snuff bottle. Carved in good medium relief is a maiden carrying a poled basket with reverse having a flycatcher in the lower right corner amongst a landscape (but it is very hard to make out due to the sheen). In excellent condition, the bottle measures 2 7/8" high and 1 3/4" wide.
