The padlock is made of thick bronze, solid construction, the partitions are thick. There is a secret system to clear the keyhole which is hidden. You can see in the photos the explanation of the system. The bronze has an excellent centuries-old patina and the object is discreetly decorated with chiselling at the ends. The vase is in yellow bronze. It appears to have been taken down with a hammer because it has thin walls, however it may have been cast. It is a very simple design object but of excellent quality, the proportions are perfect, the finishes are very careful. Artisans capable of producing a bronze of this fine quality would have been entirely capable of producing such a fine casting...

Rare and endearing figure of a young boy disciple of Quanyin (the Goddess of Compassion) wearing a garment etched with a lotus flower - the symbol of Buddhism. He is often depicted near Quanyin with his hands in reverential prayer. The bronze is heavily cast and has wires imbedded underneath the pedestal, perhaps for attaching to a group of figures. Antique 18th -19th century, Chinese or Vietnamese, large combat polearm partisan in the form of the spear or lance.

A leaf-shaped blade made of hand-forged iron with a visible forge layered lamination structure, engraved on both sides with scrolled decorations. The long stout tang with a faceted block is fitted into its original red lacquered bamboo pole (shortened) with a large, ribbed bronze ferrule.

These types of spears of identical forms were used in China and Vietnam...

Ancient Chinese horse snaffle bridle-bit, Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Spring and Autumn period (770-476 BC).

Made of bronze bit with a mouthpiece composed of two canons connected in the center, each cast with a loop at both ends.
