$495.00 Large Chinese Qing dynasty blue and white porcelain basin with a central interior roundel decorated in the Canton style with a figure in a traditional pavilion in a landscape scene surrounded by water boats and a bridge. Hanging jewels extend around the circumference of the well and a border is along the rim. Three bamboo sprays are on the exterior.
The unglazed base is flat. 19th century. 13 1/4" diameter x 4 1/2" high...

Rare Chinese Eastern Han Dynasty Decorated Glazed Jar
This very rare and unusual pottery jar was made during the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25 - 220). It is made from a red pottery and very attractively decorated in both green and amber glazes. The green glaze has a matt finish whereas the amber glaze is mostly glossy, although its colour and appearance does vary in places according to its thickness and, probably, uneven conditions in the kiln during firing... Rare Chinese Tang Dynasty Stoneware Jar with Cover
This "heavily-potted" stoneware jar, complete with its original cover, was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). Like most Tang jars, its form is particularly pleasing. The finely-crackled transparent pale olive-green glaze is quite "streaky" and coats around the upper three-quarters of the outer surface, as well as the cover. The lower body remains unglazed showing the white stoneware body...

This unusual pottery tripod vessel, or "ding", was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is made from a grey pottery, relatively highly-fired, both body and cover having a distinct ring when tapped. There are traces on the surface still remaining of its original "cold painted" pattern. The body has, on opposing sides, two square-cut handles... Song Dynasty brown glaze with melded "pie-crust" under rim. Nice sheen to glaze. No cracks or chips and in very good condition. Diameter: 9 inches; height: 2 inches
