A very fine mask of the esoteric "Nuo" theater, representing the character of Tudigong, the God of the Soil and of the Cereals, wearing an official cap, his face illuminated by a large smile. Wood, with traces of polychrome colors under the black coating. China, early 20th century. Height: 23.7 cm. The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition.

Antique Chinese jadeite carving of a young boy kneeling on his stomach, holding a small dish. He has a pleased expression with wonderfully carved fingers and toes, etched hair, and a smooth form. Size: 1.25" height, 2.75" length

A lidded container in a divided, compressed form of finely, carved bamboo root. Good luck bringing Bats (bianfu) carved in relief decorate the sides and lid. Bottom with a la grec pattern. Mid Qing, around 1800. H 10 cm, W 8.2 cm. Condition: Very good. Traces of wear. One short crack on the middle part of the bottom panel filled.

A fine and rare incense burner (zhudiao xianglu ) of tripod form with a pair of handles carved of a piece of bamboo root. A ornamented band running along the rim. Qing, Jiaqing or early Daoguang, c. 1800–1830. H 10 cm, D 6.8 cm. Condition: Excellent with nice wear from handling.

A fine Chinese late 19th century ivory card case featuring an intricately carved garden setting with figures and pavilions on a pierced background. It is in excellent condition save for a very small break/loss that is almost invisible when the case is closed, see last 3 photos. Otherwise, no cracks, no repairs, etc. Measures 4.5" high, 3" wide.

A large wooden Christian cross with beautiful lotus and vines decoration inlaid in engraved mother of pearl, originating from Macau, Vietnam or Southern China. Rearside with paper label. Crosses such as this example would have served in the teaching of the Bible in East Asia. Condition: partially chipped rims, center with restaured area (please see photo no. 7). The artisan has taken advantage of the jade skin to highlight certain areas, such as the lightest (celadon) color for their peaks, the darkest (spinach) for their body, and mottle portion of the stone for the birds tails...
