Ancient Chinese jade figure of a kneeling anthropomorphic creature. Angular face with large, almond-shaped eyes and two dragon-like curling ear/horns. The body of the figure appears human with hands resting on bent knees and feet tucked under. Carved of pale green jade with orange rind and striations. The back is pierced for a chord to suspend or sew to clothing. Considered precious, carvings like this one were passed down through generations before finally being buried with the owner...

A nice saucer dish with overglaze enamel green and red of lotus. original color is rare, no any repainting. Ming dynasty 16th century, Hongzhi period. Condition is good, no any crack, free from any restoration excepted chip to the unglazed foot rim. Diameter: 16 cm.

This piece was made at the Zhangzhou kilns(漳州窯), and had been stored by Japanese famous collector. This type of multiple colored ceramics is called "Gosu Aka-e 呉須赤絵" and has been valued by Japanese people since Edo period until nowadays. The ceramics manufacturing industry in China was collapsed at the confusion period in last MIng dynasty, however after about 50 years It was rebuilt on the Kangxi(康煕) era and they had producing more excellent pieces, and so the products with Kangxi mark has been prized for long time after then over the world. This piece has Kangxi mark, very precise and excellent painting with flowers...

This pieces was made at Jingdezhen kiln famous for blue & white ware and exported to Japan where people loved blue & white ware called "Kosome" in Japan. It has auspicious patterns, beautiful blue color. And it has tiny roughness on the edge of mouth, however it is a character of works made at Jingdezhen kiln, Japanese people loved them because they didn't like perfectness. A heavily potted porcelain jar, made in two horizontal parts, with an underglaze blue floral decoration. South Chinese work from the 16th/17th century. H. 21 cm, D. 19 cm. Condition: very good, no damage or repairs, the glaze is a bit dull and has craquelé because this jar was excavated and spent 4 centuries under the soil. Provenance: in my private collection since I found this jar in Beijing in the late 90’s.
