SOLD Wonderful Chinese antique gray pottery tomb figure of a horse and rider, beautifully sculpted and retaining much of it's painted slip details, the merging of geometric and naturalistic features exemplifies Han Dynasty sculpture. 206 B.C. - A.D. 220. Comes with certificate of authenticity.

A very rare wood panel, covered with a white ground and decorated with a painting of a bodhisattva. This panel was found in a cave temple in the Dunhuang mountains in the Gansu Province. We acquired a group of six panels from a Dutch collector who bought the panels in China in the 1980's. Dimensions: 55x22 cm.
Tang Dynasty (618-906).Wooden objects from this period are quite rare.

Sold. Thank you A rare carved jade of an old man with a beard. Half of the jade on top is translucent and the bottom bottom half opaque.
It is from the Hunan culture which was absorbed by the Han as their control spread over the whole of China.

$695 DESCRIPTION: A lovely white jade toggle (or pendant) with scattered light brown to grayish inclusions, strung with an orange amber bead on a cord. This toggle dates from the Qing Dynasty and is in very good condition; the jade surface is quite smooth to the touch and there are no chips to the jade or amber bead. DIMENSIONS: Jade toggle: 1 1/4" long (3.2 cm) x 1" wide (2.5 cm).
