Ancient bronze food container dating from the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD). With a domed cover with loop handles. When inverted the cover becomes a tripod dish.
H. 15 cm, Diameter 21,5 cm.
Condition: Good condition with excellent verdegris and lapis patina.

Conservatoire Sakura
$700.00 Brooch or fibula? very thick cast copper alloy. Hot gold with mercury. The gilding is very thick. It is very well preserved and is only worn on the ends of the reliefs as can be seen in the photos. Three black stones are set. The stones are very worn by shocks or degraded by time?
Two holes are drilled on either side of the center.
The correct color is that of the first photo where we see the greenish gilding.
Interesting jewel certainly very old several centuries.

sold The Kangxi(康熙)period is the day when the ceramic industry ruined at the last Ming dynasty had been rebuild, and many excellent pieces had been produced at both government kiln and folk kiln.
This piece has picture of flushou (福禄寿)and the superlative seal mark of folk kiln on the back.
Notable thing is the record in the box indicates it has had by Aixinjueluo Pujio(愛新覚羅溥傑),younger brother of the last emperor.

This unusual model of a horse & rider was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a creamy-white pottery that has been "cold painted" in various coloured pigments. Note the detail of the overweight rider's clothing and hairstyle, who seems to be slumped in the horse's saddle ! Height 27.5cm. Repairs should, of course, realistically be expected for such pottery figures...

GBP £600 LARGE Chinese Neolithic Pottery Jar - Caiyuan Culture (c. 2600 - 2200 BC)
This large and impressive pottery jar was made over 4,000 years ago by peoples of the Caiyuan Culture (c. 2600 - 2200 BC) and has been excavated from the Ningxia Autonomous Region in the north of China. It is relatively highly-fired and has been fired to a very pleasing pale yellowish-brown colour. The upper surface has been burnished and is smooth to the touch... |
