A rare large carved, nicely-striped translucent agate bead is featured in this beautiful necklace with 13 carved natural agate beads and 10 gold beads all from the same period. The smaller ochre-colored beads are ceramic beads of the same period. The lower central portion of the slightly trapezoidal beads are carved with gently curved centers from Southeast Asia representing the tiger.

Antique Chinese pair of stone temple fu dogs. These fierce guardians would have been placed on either side of the entrance to a Buddhist temple in order to ward off evil spirits. One statue has its mouth open and the other mouth is closed, a symbolic trait to represent the in-and-out breathing of life and the sound of “om.” Heavy in weight.

Antique Chinese guan pi xiang (document box), made of huanghuali hardwood and finely cut brass plate mounts and hinges. The top opens and is held in place by a small chain. The doors open to reveal 7 drawers of different sizes. Each drawer has been fitted with jewelry tray inserts covered in white raw silk.

A ten sided double bodied Yixing stoneware teapot decorated in Scholar's Taste and bearing an inscription in white enamel which reads "Ba Dou Gao Cai" ( which can translate as "Full of Talent") and with "Tian Gong" ("Heavenly Palace" or "Paradise") under pink enamel.

This item was made from Zisha clay in Yixing, China, during the late 19th or early 20th Century.

Condition: the single cover has a piece missing and has been broken and glued; no further damages and no restoration.
