Lacquered wooden box. Decor of a painted landscape, colors and details powdered with gold. Chinese work from the end of the Ming dynasty, 17th century. The lacquer has withstood the centuries well, it bears the beautiful wrinkles of the retraction of the wood, typical of this period. Worn decor, broken wooden base, glued. Vintage Chinese red lacquered trunk with gilt lacquer designs of lotuses, reeds, and cranes. It has two metal handles on its sides, a front lock, and comes with a sheet of glass to lay over the top of the chest so objects can be placed over it without damaging the lacquer. Chinese woven Lacquered Reed Hat Box with lacquer decorated wide wooden band, with metal hinges, 12" high, 17" diameter, round dome top and bottom. Lacquered and painted design of Chinese lady carrying Lantern, and floral lacquer design on the wide wooden band. Metal hinges in front and back are somewhat loose and few metal buttons are missing. There are some normal wear and tear.

Chinese Foo Lion carved on 4 corners and lacquered on wood x-cross shape folding display stand, 9 1/2" high, 15 1/2" cross-maximum measurement, 10 1/2" inside display area, center wooden pole is holding two(2) pieces together to make folding position, the wood split in some areas.

A nice lacquer screen mirror used by Scholars in their work tables. The mirror is surrounded by the usual key fret design while the base is carved with the auspicious melon, peony and peach, representing longevity and prosperity. A fairly large lacquer chest with two original handles and lock. It has a removable tray inside. Size: L. 43.3cm. W. 24.7cm. H. 21cm. Condition: Very good. No repairs.

Antique Chinese peach silk ladies robe with blue and gold embroidery. Wonderfully embroidered butterflies, phoenixes and fans in gold. Peony flowers embroidered in shades of blue and white. Detail on upper back with spider. Measures 47" x 29". Overall good condition. The embroidery is in excellent condition, the border slightly frayed. Late 19th c.

Chinese Lamp Finial, carved Fern and Vegetable Design, 1 3/4" high, 1" diameter for carved bead, the condition is good.

Chinese landscape painting with two literati figures riding a boat and enjoying the scenery. The work is titled: Guan Lushan, or View Mt. Lu. The inscription reads: Painted around late spring of 1918 following the style of Wen Hengshan. Signed: Longcheng Jushi, Huang Shanshou. Seal also reads the artist's name.
