This is a fine Chinese Laque Burgaute (gold, silver, and iridescent mother-of-pearl foil inlaid into black lacquer) Snuff Bottle in an oval shape. The body, sides, bottom, neck, and shoulders decorated with geometric patterns and floral designs. Antique Chinese large bitong or brush pot carved of one piece of huanghuali wood and inlaid with a scene of birds on a blossoming branch and a poem. Inlaid materials include bone, stone, lacquer and shell. The poem translates as: "Birds flying in a line, the tree is blooming, the blooming flower is falling to the ground, the spring mountain, one group of birds fly over the valley, sound makes a lonely sound". We are glad to present you one of our favorite statues of our collection - very large and precious Chinese Bronze Buddha from the 18th century with rests of gilt.

The Buddha is seated on a lotus base in abhaya mudra position which means protection, peace and the dispelling of fear.

This statue has a Qianglong Seven-Charakter Mark, DA QING QIANLONG NIAN JING ZAO, (1736-1795).

The sides of the cabinet are also made of dark hardwood and carved with scrolling key fret motif. Brass hardware is incised with matching key fret and chimera designs. c. 1950. The chest is one solid piece with four drawers running along its top front and two sets of hinged doors on its bottom, with brass hinges and lockplates. Chinese large jumu (elm) wood cabinet with natural light finish. The interior is outfitted with shelves for a TV and components. Doors on wooden dowels pocket in for a nice clean appearance. Sliding panels in the back interior allow for cords. Four interior drawers are perfect for storing CDs and DVDs. There are another two drawers on the lower exterior.
