A rare 17th century Japanese Lacquer table performed in the Nanban style exhibited in 1972 at the Kyoto National Museum (including paperwork from the museum). Overall it is in excellent condition, enclosed in an older wooden storage box. It is 12 x 17 x 14 inches (31 x 43 x 36 cm).

An otherworldly form from the age of Sputnick by important artist Morino Taimei exhibited at the 1959 Nitten National Art Exhibition and published in the Nittenshi (vol. 22). Exceptional and very important Edo period chawan by legendary master potter Hirasawa Kuro (1772-1840), a famous Samurai and potter who produced tea ceremony ware for the Tokugawa clan in Nagoya. His work is rare and mostly exhibited in Japanese museums.

An historically important work by Furutani Hiromu (Churoku I) from the initial firing of their newly established Nobori-gama climbing kiln in 1974. This type of work is called Hatsugama, or first from the kiln. One of a kind. Wonderful and important Chinese Hawksbill Tortoise Tenmoku Chawan from the Jizhou kiln of Southern Sung. It has a wonderful crazing and still vivid colours. An important Vase decorated with the imperial symbols of 16 petal chrysanthemum and Go-shichi Nobori Kiri among over-glaze bamboo and floral designs by Ito Tozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box.
