A collection of arrowheads, pierced with the single cherry flower of the Sada-uji and the double cherry flower of the Matamasa family crests. The central arrow with the Sanskrit character for protection by the deity Hachiman, signed Minamoto no Mitsumasa, Nobokuni of Chikuzei. Both clans Sada-uji and Matamasa were in support of the Tokugawa clan.

It was painted with mineral pigments and was kept nicely in aged mood.

Antique Japanese single section isho tansu (clothing chest) made of kiri (paulownia) wood. Iron hardware includes warabite shaped drawer pulls and round lock plates. There are two large exterior drawers. In the bottom right hand corner is a safe box with hinged door and two small interior drawers.

A Tenmoku Hanging vase by the living master of that genre, Kimura Morikazu, enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Tetsuyu Kohen Kake-hana-ike. The lozenge form features two lug handles in the shape of a traditional Waniguchi Japanese Shrine Gong. A beautifully carved and gilt boxwood figure of Guan Yin / Guanyin. The goddess is holding the holy Buddhist scripture and has placed her hand between the open pages. China, Republic period, c 1920. The surface of the carving is covered with a thin layer of red that mixes with the gilt. The figure can be fixed to an oval wooden stand. Height (the stand not included) "4 ¾ / 12.3 cm. Condition: fine.
