Six antique bronze opium weights from Burma. The lion-dogs are standing on an octagonal base. The four largest ones having a verification mark in front of the base. Nice patina, the smallest weight with greenish patina might be a different alloy. Weights approx.: 300 g (20 tical), 155 g (10 tical), 146 g (10 tical), 73 g (5 tical), 31 g (2 tical) and 16 g (1 tical). Dimension: largest: 5.9 cm high. Condition: nice patina, traces of age.

Thai bronze head of a Bodhisattva. Ayutthaya period. Presentable decorative condition with tips of earlobes missing, core exposed atop head, and the body missing of course. Black lacquer and traces of gilt on the diadem and the back of the neck. Height of the head , about 3 3/4 inches (9.54 cm) not including the pin for securing on plinth. A very rare gilt figure of Buddha with hands in the earth-touching gesture. The facial features are characteristic of Burmese Buddhas of the time with very large ears and nose.

Very attractive bronze seated Disciple/Monk holding alms bowl in his left hand, which rests on his leg and gracefully helping himself with his right hand. This monk is the disciple Mahakasyapa who was particularly close to Buddha. In the tradition of the Zen-masters, Kassapa was the first monk to receive from the Buddha "without word or writing" the unspeakable highest truth of the Dharma.
