Very fine facial features, the hands in the dhyana mudra (meditation). Excavated piece with a lovely green patina.

Sold to Germany In bhumisparsa mudra. The eyes inlaid with glass or seashell. Condition: the head broken and repaired at the neck ( old repair) , the ushnisha slightly curved. The red and blue painting on the base are later. Lovely piece with beautifyl patina. H. 37 cm. From a Dutch private collection.

Sold to France This lovely 19th century piece came from a Dutch private collection where it has been since the 1980's. It is 55 cm high and at the base it measures 25x25 cm. It has normal age wear and a wonderful old patina.

Sold. Thank you Nora Vajrapāni (Sanskrit: "Vajra in [his] hand") is one of the earliest-appearing bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. He is the protector and guide of Gautama Buddha and rose to symbolize the Buddha's power.He also is know to protects the wearer.
