$680.00 HAEJUBAN TEA TABLE Individual wooden table with such unique decorative carving made in Haeju (around Pyongyang of today) in Korean Peninsula, early 20th century, approx. 43 x 32.8 x H 27cm (16.92 x 12.91 x 10.62in). Handy lightweight structure as easy carrying and storing. In good condition, with some expected sign of use and repair at one leg (see photo#8) as is as seen. All fixtures in the photos are not attached... Very rare Goryeo Dynasty (12th/13th century) Korean antique celadon glazed stoneware bowl with short flared walls inlaid in white slip with flower springs and string bands in white, the flower sprigs on the exterior walls rendered in black and white slip.

sold A really rare type of chawan: wan shaped tea bowl with a rounded brim, made of light coarse clay. The fine iron bearing clay was nearly fully covered with glaze mixed from wood ash and feldspat. The iron oxide in the body turned the glaze to a bright orange where thin. The bowl shows a fantastic discoloration from tea as a result of many years of careful use. This chawan was manufactured in the early stage of the 17th cent... Geese and Reeds Painting (Noando) on fine silk mounted on luxurious gold silk by Yang Ki Hun aka Seokyeon (1843-1897) from Pyeongyang, signed Seokyeon. Yang Ki Hun's signature 'boneless' style (painting without outlines, using ink washes) beautifully captures light and shade. The literal meaning of 'noando' is reed and geese painting, but it is a play on words, as 'no' means both reed and old, and 'an' means both geese and comfort ('do' means painting)...

Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century.
Amusingly molded as a recumbent figure of a mythical lion-dog, the surface details
incised and realistically molded, decorated in a washy underglaze blue beneath
a white glaze, the base unglazed.
It’s in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs,
it measures in inches:3” L. x 2 3/8” w. x 1 3/8” h. (7.5cm x 6cm x 3.5cm).
