One has fallen and is being dragged along like a water-skier by vines tangled in the deers horns. A very humorous scene by this rare Osaka artist. A celadon vase inlayed with Chrysanthemum designs by Teishitsu Gigei-In Suwa Sozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box featuring the Imperial Art Academy Seal and titled Kiku-Zogan Hana-Ire. Japanese Taisho Period ikebana basket (for flower arranging). Made all of lovely split bamboo with a semi open weave. The handle is made of three pieces of bamboo and knotted together. Wrapped detailed where the handle meets the body of the basket. Signed Kokosai. Size: 19" high x 9" wide.
