From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a large and fine vintage Pakistani Bokhara rug using extra fine wool and silk in classic Tekke Gul design, handwoven on a vertical loom with cotton base, using a combination of natural mineral pigments and synthetic dyes in brown, black, taupe, cream, and pale green. Whilst Bokhara rugs are often perceived as utilitarian in nature and not seen as art objects by their makers, this particular rug is of such good quality that the maker decided to sign it...

From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a large and elegant hand-etched brass floor lamp from Southern India. The etched designs on this piece are really quite intricate, and it is clear that a tremendous amount of time and handiwork went into the layout and artistry of this piece.

Size and Condition: 71 inches tall (just shy of 6 feet), lampshade is 18 inches in diameter at widest point. The lamp has been fitted with American electrical hardware and is still in good working order...

From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a very large teakwood sideboard / buffet from Kerala in Southern India, crafted with old-growth teakwood using carved sunburst motifs for the compartment doors. A very understated yet elegant example featuring large compartments and a large top surface area, making it very functional besides its strong appeal as highly decorative ethnic furniture.

Gilt bronze figure of Kubera (Kambala) also known as Dhanapati "Lord of Riches", seated on mythical beast with mongoose in one hand, his elaborate crown and round belly suggest great wealth, Nepalese, early/mid 20th century. Size: 7 1/2" high x 6 1/4" wide x 4" deep.

Ornate antique Nepalese Buddhist ritual chalice with skull cup, copper and mixed metal repouse, inside of skull lined with hammered silver, lid with elaborate metal work, inlaid coral and turquoise and a vajra finial, base with coral inlay and copper repouse with silver skulls. Size: 13 3/4" high x 7 1/2" wide x 7" deep.

Rare 17th Century Tibetan Chakrasamvara Thangka with numerous inscriptions on the back. There is a tape repair on the center of the back. 26 x 19.5 inches, 66 x 50 cm.

Indian black schist carving of dancing Ganesha, the elephant headed god (the Remover of Obstacles) stands with his own broken tusk in one hand, and ax in the other, trunk is sampling sweets in upper left hand, just below his lower right hand is his mouse vehicle, white and vermilion traces, beautiful modeling of body, from Uttar Pradesh, 15th century. Size: 7 3/4" high x 4 1/2" wide

Beautiful antique silver bracelet from Himalayan region, my best quess is Nepal. Six Lapis Lazuli stones set in convex curve with etched leaf design that covers the background of the bracelet. Hinge and pin opening gives easy on and off usage.

Nice weight, no marks, width is 1.25 inches, each stone is .5 inches by .75 inches, nice weight, excellant condition, no dings, no dents

Beautifully embroidered "Goa" priest vestment from india. Goa was a Portuguese colony off the coast of India. It is embroidered with shades of blue, red, pink, yellow, orange, and green. There is a floral scrolling pattern on front and back with smaller flowers.

An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. I have more top quality pieces from this collection for sale, both in sandstone and in bronze. More pieces will be coming soon...

Made in Ganga-Jumna (two color bronze) technique in the 17th century. This complicated technique is nowadays lost. Please note the very fine detail on this figure, like bracelets, anklets and rings. From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a stunningly beautiful 19th century Khavakend-influenced Kashmiri silver teapot of bulbous teardrop form, finely chased in the rosette pattern with paisley and chinar motifs. This extremely fine teapot sits atop a flat rounded base with an avian-form handle, beak-form spout, and a dome-shaped hinged lid...

Very rare and early piece, nicely cast, finely engraved and with a good patina. The Krishna figure has two silver bracelets on each arm. H. 24 cm. Condition: left index finger restored. A globular shaped Indian waterpipe base made of zinc alloy, the body decorated with vegetal motifs, inlaid in silver and brass. Condition: inlay losses, bottom with old repair. Dimension: 16.8 cm high, weight: 1160 g.

An antique Tibetan buckle made of chiseled iron and damascened in gold, originating from a bridle or a belt. The fitting with hook is beautifully decorated with a lotus among scrollwork and a wave pattern (chu ris). Condition: little rust, few traces of usage. Dimension: 10 cm and 5 cm long, 76 g.

Antique Tibetan gilt iron fittings with open-work decoration. Three buckles and four hooks in the shape of a vajra. Condition: some rust. Dimension: approx. 11.2 cm and 8.8 cm long, weight: 260 g.

Depicting one of the 24 Tirthankaras with his attendants. His eyes inlaid with silver or electron. Lots of wear due to extensive worshipping. Judging by the beautiful dark brown and green patina, this is an excavated piece. H. 13,5 cm (5,5 inches). Provenance: private collection The Netherlands.

From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a good Kashmiri silver surahi (water flask), 19th century, of compressed globular base with elongated neck and attached stopper secured by linked silver chain, well-decorated with chased vegetal and floral designs typical for Kashmiri silversmithing of this period. Overall a very attractive example with elegant proportions and good presence.
